Fully Loaded. Precise. Compact.
The IG 282 SD sets a new standard in rotary surface grinding with innovative features that make it more powerful, precise, and user-friendly. Its advanced touchscreen HMI controls include a bright, easy-to-read display, automatic maintenance reminders, pre-loaded instruction manuals and PDFs, and internal memory for repeatable process automation.
This is the first DCM Tech rotary surface grinder to feature a precision servo-driven cross slide motor, enabling tight tolerances along both the Z and X axes. Achieve precise step grinding in materials like glass, ceramic, carbide, and metals with unparalleled ease.
Standard features include a variable-speed grinding spindle motor, an electromagnetic chuck, thru-spindle vacuum/pressure port, integral mist collection and coolant filtration systems, and a manual pulse generator for accurate positioning. As a robust alternative to the Bourn & Koch Blanchard® grinder, the IG 282 SD offers unmatched versatility and precision for modern machine shops.
Grinding Applications
DCM grinders outperform conventional surface grinders and are efficient for removing large amounts of material, while maintaining close tolerances and reducing process time. Features such as variable feedrate & spindle speed, single or multi-step grinding, and easily programmable grind processes make this machine an ideal platform for processing a wide range of materials.
